I’ve been practicing yoga (both vinyasa and Yin) since 2013 and teaching Yin yoga for the past few years. I’ve completed my 200-hour teacher training and Yin yoga trainings led by Julie Theisen, Shannon Stephens, Nancy Nelson, and Josh Summers; I’m also certified in the Trauma-Conscious Yoga Method (TCYM). When I’m not on my mat or writing, I’m a professor of multicultural women’s and gender studies at Texas Woman’s University. When you take my classes, I want you to feel revitalized and relaxed, with increased mental focus, enhanced intuition, and new appreciation for your body’s wisdom. I’m delighted to be part of Bloom Yoga for many reasons, including the opportunities it offers to create inclusive communities for personal and collective transformation.

I have been practicing yoga since 1990. In 2013, after primarily practicing at home, I found a wonderful community experience and studio practice, which became Bloom Yoga. That led to a 200-hour yoga teaching certification in 2017, and I discovered that teaching was just the growth my practice sought. My primary certification is in the Baptiste Journey into Power sequence, deeply rooted in the teachings of Iyengar, Bikram, and Ashtanga. I teach a JIP-inspired Power sequence, as well as a gentle yoga flow based on the JIP sequence, and I have completed the Subtle® Yoga Revolution 40-hour teacher training. I am very happy to be part of this community and would love to help you find your way on you mat.

I have been practicing yoga since 2009 and have my 200-hour certification. My life changed forever in 2013 when I had a stroke. I spent two weeks in the hospital and had to learn to walk again. Since I could barely stand, I thought my yoga days were over. After four months of physical therapy, I decided I was ready to go back to yoga to see if I could regain my balance and strength. After committing to growth and transformation through this practice, I slowly started to regain my balance, strength, and confidence. When you attend one of my classes, you will learn to listen to your body and challenge yourself to make the changes your body needs for each pose.

I have been practicing yoga since 2012 and teaching yoga since 2017. I have been dancing all my life and found yoga as a practice to supplement dance. My dance background gives me a unique perspective in the yoga studio and has instilled in me a belief in somatic practices and the linking of mind and body. I believe that yoga is for everybody and every body. Our bodies are unique, and our experiences in our bodies are different each day. This is why I love the Baptiste yoga methodology. Baptiste serves to tangibly tell us where we are in our bodies. I cultivate an energetic and fun class to create a space of healing and an escape from everyday stressors.

I went to my first yoga class in 2007 and noticed when I practiced yoga consistently, I was more mindful mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Yoga has helped reduce my anxiety and brought me playfulness and sense of community. In 2017, I completed my 200-hour teacher training in Denton; and in 2018, I completed the Yoga Ed. 95-hour children and teens training in Honolulu. As a special-education teacher this was the next natural step for me. Teaching yoga to people of all ages has brought me great joy. I hope to guide you through a powerful class that's accessible to everyone through modifications. I want to help bring you to your edge, while empowering you and bringing some playfulness to your practice.

I’ve been practicing yoga for over five years and received my 200 hour certification in August 2019. My love for yoga began when I took my first class. It brought me clarity and focus, and I wanted to help others benefit similarly. Yoga is so much more than how we move on our mats; it’s a mindset and a feeling within our souls. I truly believe that yoga is for everybody and every body. If you can breathe, you can do yoga. When I teach, I offer a high energy, powerful vinyasa flow. I love finding new ways to move our bodies that help us to connect breath with movement.

I have been practicing yoga for 14 years and received my 200 hour certification from Bloom Yoga in Denton, TX. My practice has brought a lot of strength and stability to my life and my style is reflective of that. I have a passion for helping people achieve physical, mental, and emotional balance through the practice of yoga. I’d like for my students to feel they are part of a community that supports and cares for them, reflective of the love and compassion yoga has given to me. I am committed to creating a safe and inclusive space for all, regardless of their level of experience or physical ability. When I’m not teaching yoga, I enjoy CrossFit, Cycling, and running my small business!

I started practicing yoga in 2009 and began a regular practice in 2011. I was certified under Brooke Boon through Holy Yoga in 2014. There I received my 225 hour Hatha/vinyasa yoga certification, as well as my 500 hour training certification in 2015. I am also certified in pre-natal/postpartum and adjustments. I have always had a love of holistic health and the connection between our minds, bodies, emotions and spirit.
